It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William F. Saylor Jr. of Mundelein, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Cheryl Saylor; his parents, William Saylor and Sophie Saylor; and his sisters, Jacqueline Hase and Jill Lightfoot.

He is survived by: his friend Bill; his children, William, Kevin and Christina; his grandchildren, Sophia, Kyle and Lena; his nephew Doug Hase; and his niece Toni Kobe.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the American Bird Conservancy, Cornell Laboratory for Birds, or a Chicago area nature organization or pet shelter of one's choice.
