With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard S. Borst of Mundelein, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Borst and Leona Borst. He is survived by: his wife Terri Winters; his daughters, Erin and Lauren (Jose Luis); his siblings, Mike (Louise) and Susie; and his nieces and nephews, Kristin (Tim), Tim (Lisa), Matt (Erica), Blake, Gage, Kaitlyn, Makenzie and Jack.

The family is asking, in lieu of flowers, for contributions to be made to Fishing For Life, a Christ-centered organization and a 501 (3)(c) in the Twin Cities Metro Area that serves youth, families, veterans & communities through fishing and outdoor programs. Donate at https://fishingforlife.org.

“Dear family, When I think of Rich (dad, brother, husband) I think of laughter. When the Borst’s would be at Diamond Lake and Greg C, Greg H, Mike and Rich would get to telling fishing and childhood stories, the laugher came from belly, filled the house and was continuous. What special relationships! And how those stories held my fascination- how only they were told, the guys taking turns but also the actual adventures. What a childhood. I send you all a long hug, Missy Anderson Mound”
