He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Camille Smith (Ron) and Tracey Wiles (late Jim); his spouse Michele Stanley; his close friend Grazyna Parsons; his stepsons, Michael (Amy) and Christopher Naatz (Jonna); his grandchildren, Nicole Silverman (Ben), Kristine White (Matt), Franklin, Lauren Forward, Sara, Zachary Naatz, Jacob, Lucas and Samuel Naatz; his great grandchildren, Dionte, Benjamin and Shanelle Silverman; his siblings, Jim Stanley (Jill), Donna McMurry (Mike) and Larry Stanley (Marlene); and also Marilyn Keeton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Merrill's name can be made to the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
