She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose Pokorny and Joe Pokorny; her husband Gene Michaelis; her siblings, Charlie Pokorny (Gingie), Rosemary McGraw (William), Margaret Aldrich (Jack), Fritz Pokorny (Patricia), Joe Pokorny, Francis Pokorny (Virgene), George Pokorny and Edward Pokorny; and her grandson Josh Batzer.
She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Judy Pokorny and Diane Pokorny; and her children, Michelle Christensen, Mark Michaelis, Rose Janowitz, Andy Michaelis (Eileen), Kristie Schuller (Brad) and Laura Batzer. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
