He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Adeline Reck (Siemen); his children, Dennis (Monica), Gerard (Susan), Gregory (Sandra), Donna Knippen and Pamela (Ed Klotz); and his siblings, Lucille Stanton, Geraldine Hayes (Gerry), Ron (Caroline), Carl (Florence) and Elizabeth Spindler (William). He was also cherished by 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or Masses appreciated.
