It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward V. Machak of Mundelein, Illinois, born in North Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 3, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius Machak and Anna Machak; his wife Patricia; his siblings, Fran Machak, Phyllis Gordy, Aloysius Machak, Bernard Machak and Anthony Machak; and his siblings-in-law, Bernice Machak, Patricia Machak, Beverly Machak, Paul Butler and Walter Gordy.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Machak (Blanca), Cindy Sullivan (Paul) and Deb Machak; his grandchildren, Sabrina Machak, Kristina Holst (Michael), Sara Machak, Ryan Sullivan and Kelsey Smith (William); his stepgrandchildren, Melissa Martinez (Angel), Carlos Rosales (Thalia), Alyssa Rosales and Gaby Rosales; and his sister Jean Butler. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's memory can be made to the Maryknoll Sisters, the Maryknoll Brothers, or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
