He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pondel and Stella Pondel; his brother-in-law George Peterson; his wife LaVerne Pondel; his brother Albert Pondel (Gerrie); and his close friend Elmer Polcyn (Al).
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Frank (Tom), Mark Pondel (Laura) and Andrew (Anj); his grandchildren, Natasha (AJ), Madeline (Alex) and William (Vanessa); his brother Art Pondel (Barb); his sister-in-law Nancy Peterson; and his son Dexter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to a local animal and adoption shelter.
