It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Dennis Spratt of Mulberry Grove, Illinois, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may John find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Verne Edison Spratt and Lucille Gertrude Mahon; and his wife Barbara Alton. He is survived by: his children, Jackie Scott (Ricky) of Carlyle, William Spratt (Becky) of Mulberry Grove and Angie Scoggins (Rusty) of Mulberry Grove. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Assalley Funeral Home (118 E College Ave, Greenville, IL 62246). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Taylor Cemetery and/or the Greenville VFW Post 1377.
