It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joy Gerth-Phillips of Muddy, Illinois, who passed away on September 7, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leo Gerth and Louise Gerth of Dieterich; her siblings, Bob, Lowell Gerth and Betty Gerth-Bethards-Watt; and her nephew Brandon Bethards (family: Debbie Waddington, Janet Menke, Bonnie Steppe). She was also cherished by her nieces and nephews, her many grandnieces and grandnephews, her many great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews as well as her very close friends.
