He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Antone and Mary Ester Braun (Westbrook); his wife Nancy Ellen Freese; his sons, John Edward Braun and Christopher Lee Braun; and his siblings, Harold Braun and Teresa Schmitz.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Braun (Donna) of St. Peter's, MO, Pam Myers (Michael) of Moweaqua, IL and Sue Braun of Decatur, IL; and his grandchildren, Brandy, Ryan, Louis, Michael, Jason, Jonathon and Bridget. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
