Shirley A. Buff Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 6, 2025, at the age of 89, Shirley A. Buff of Mount Zion, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Terrell and Helen Jane Elizabeth Adams; and her son Richie Blankenship. She is survived by: her husband Leno of Mt. Zion, IL; her daughters, Benda Lewis (David), Melanie Blankenship, Suzie Blankenship Piper and Shannon Green; her grandsons, Edward Werner (Dauna) and Kenneth Werner (Elsa); her friend Becky Kastning (Will); her stepsons, Michael Buff (Melanie), Jason Buff (Torri) and Nathan Buff (Kristen); her grandchildren, Adam (Kelly), Audrey (Jesse), Justin (Katie), Brian (Sara), Joshua, Matthew Eddie (Alicia), Benjamin, Cameron, Logan, Kenny, Abigail, Moses, Doug (Bree), Makenzee (Cody), Dalton (Joleen), Nicole (Trey), Hunter (Holly), Johnathon, Carter, Brandon and Dylan; her great grandchildren, Maia, Kan, Baylee, Ellie, Sebastian, Isla, Theo, Raylyn, Eastyn, Lane, Lexi, Link and Rowen; and her sisters, Sandy Caplan (Bill) and Stephanie Janik (Mike). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (1185 IL-32, Sullivan, IL 61951). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery (455 Mt Gilead Rd, Decatur, IL 62521).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Faith Lutheran Church.
