Smith of Mount Zion, Illinois, born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Smith and Anna Smith (Johnson); and his wife Mary Ann Herron. He is survived by: his children, Elaine Smith of Decatur, Nancy Smith of Bloomington, IL and David Smith (Rita) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Chelsea Cornell, Kyle Duckett and Kari Aughenbaugh (Jeremy); his great grandchildren, Jace Duckett and Naomi Hayes; and his sister Betty Kay (Bob) of Decatur, IL.
In lieu of flowers, the suggest memorials be made to the Central Baptist Church Music Department.
