It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William McRae of Mount Zion, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on April 17, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. McRae and Barbara McRae (Sills); and his brother Joseph McRae. He is survived by: his wife Carol Chapman of Mt. Zion; his sons, Matthew McRae (Rachael) of Decatur and Ryan McRae of Mt. Zion; his grandchildren, Charlotte "Lottie" McRae, Samuel "Sam" McRae and Theodore "Theo" McRae; his siblings, James "Jim" McRae (Michelle) of North Port, Florida and Debbie Sensing (Gary) of Thomasboro, NC; his mother-in-law Rita Chapman of Mt. Zion; and his sister-in-law Luanne McRae of Mt. Zion.
