He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Underwood and Nellie Underwood (White); and his brother Harry (Shirley). He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patti" Kelley; his sons, Jerry David Underwood (Lisa) of Decatur and Danny Mahlon Underwood; his brother Dick Underwood (Betty) of Mt. Zion; his grandchildren, Lindsay Farr (Ed) of Summerville, SC, Ashley Barton (Bryan) of Lincoln University, PA, Brock Underwood (Jessie) of Staten Island, NY and Jacob Underwood (Jessica) of Champaign, IL; and his great grandchildren, Kai, Kaytie, Layla, Kaesen, Korbin, Gracie and Jack.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Snuggies for the Soul or the Mt. Zion High School Football Program.
