He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Smith and Lena Smith (Shaw); and his sisters, Joan Ponsler and Janet Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Faye Crowe of Mt. Zion; and his children, Corey Smith (Treasa) of Mt. Zion, Jeremy Smith (Julie) of Nolensville, Christina White of Springfield, Amanda Williams (Joe) of Niantic, Lisa Kretsinger (Eric) of Cerro Gordo and Marty Smith of Jerseyville. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren.
