Betty Bishop wrote a sympathy message

“I’m so sorry to learn about Jimmy’s passing. He was always a special friend as we were classmates from second grade at a one-room school house in Southern Illinois. His Grandpa was our teacher and Jimmy sat behind me. He sometimes pulled on my red-haired pig tails and I would turn to tell him to stop. Guess who got in trouble for turning around? After that year, we rode the school bus to the Big town school in Dongola. Jim was highly respected by our classmates.”
