Though Gladys may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gladys touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Murlin West and Hazel West (Harlin); and her husband Ralph E. Burger. She is survived by: her children, Douglas Burger (Jean), Michael Burger (Jeannie), Jeffrey Burger and Susan Burger; and her sister Evelyn Norman (Gene). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Decatur Macon County Animal Shelter.
