He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert E. Nihiser and Beverly Ann Nihiser (Smith); his wife Kathy Merriman of Decatur; his daughters, Carla Edgecombe (Russ) of Cerro Gordo, IL, Wendy Brown (Carl) of Villa Grove, IL, Erin Hassan (Alaa) of Champaign, IL and Irene Yong (Alan) of Irmo, SC; his sister Brenda McManigell (Dan Merrick) of Leesburg, FL; his grandchildren, Macie Gass (Anthony), Alex Brown, Rommy Hassan, Ella Yong and EJ Brown; his nephew Rhett McManigell (Beth); and his niece Sabrina Watson (Randy).
