She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Hamilton and Ann Hamilton (Gustafson); and her sister Barbara. She is survived by: her husband Gary W. Scharf of Mt. Zion; her children, Sherri Castles (Gerry) of Springfield, IL, Greg Scharf (Sandy) of Decatur and Steve Scharf of Decatur; her grandchildren, Gary Swaggerty (Holly), Lauren McGrath (Sean), Morgan Jackson, Ryan Scharf, Alex Scharf, Abby Scharf and Jackson Scharf; her great grandchildren, Conner Swaggerty, Gianna Swaggerty and Mimi Jackson; her sister Elaine Bynum (Roy) of Aurora, IL; and her siblings-in-law, Greg Schick of Racine, WI, Chuck Scharf (Janet) of Rochester, IL and Ann Hron of Lee's Summit, MO..
