Wharton Jr. of Mount Zion, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on August 9, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey L. and Ladonna Wharton Sr. (Bailey); his son Michael Wharton; and his siblings, Chester, William and Sharon.
He is survived by: his children, Ladonna Louise Thompson of Decatur and David Wharton of Decatur; his siblings, Gary Wharton of Decatur, Ron Wharton (Marcia) of Decatur, Teresa Jostes (Gary) of Macon, Christine Risley of Decatur and Keith Wharton (Pam) of Mt. Zion; his grandchildren, Kayla Thompson (Brandon Davis), Koven Thompson, Faith Thompson and Elizabeth Wharton; and his great grandchildren, Link and Serenity Davis.
