It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil Barr of Mount Zion, Illinois, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cecil Barr to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Barr and Edna Barr; his wife Alice Cruit; his siblings, Lucille, Walter and Dewey; his son-in-law Tres Hodge; and his pet Casey.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie O'Rourke of Bloomington, IL, Janice Hodge of Overland Park, KS and Jeff Barr (Donna) of Oakley, IL; and his brothers, Darcy of Decatur, IL and Kenny of Herrick, IL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
