Hewit of Grand Rapid, Michigan and Jimmie Lee Cummings of Planterville, Mississippi; his children, Gary Cummings of Chicago, Terry Spearman of Rockford, Illinois, Andrea Franklin of Kalamazoo and Lynnette M. Cummings of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and his close friends, Shirley Johnson and Anna Smith. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
