William Causer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2022, at the age of 83, William Causer of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father William Jackson; his parents-in-law, Anna Bernice and Ellsworth Kern; his sisters, Mary McRoy (Les) and Betty Wright (Don); and his sister-in-law Sharon Howard (Ronald).
He is survived by: his wife Patty (Kern); his children, Anna Lisa Leggans (David) of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Mark William Causer of Belleville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jason McClintock (Bridget) of Wayne City, Sarah Gowler (Dustin) of Carterville and Matthew McClintock (Lindsey Peacher) of Plano, Texas; his stepgrandchildren, Danielle McAfee-Thoenen (Daniel) of Columbia and Tobi Leggans of Australia; his great grandchildren, Addison McClintock, Braxton McClintock, Evan Gowler and Evelyn McAfee; and his brother Thomas Causer (Terri) of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Bill's honor to the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, to the Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ in Hoyleton, Illinois. or to SSM Health at Home Hospice.
