With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wendell Dunbar (Mount Vernon, Illinois), born in Ina, Illinois, who passed away on December 15, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Dunbar and Della Dunbar (House); his wife Wava McMillan; and his brother Bill Dunbar. He is survived by: his former wife Lela; his children, Rick Ramsey (Jill) of Elgin, Karen Norman (Robert Hinton) of Stockton, Brenda Draper (Brian) of Mount Vernon and Nancy Walters (Dunbar) of Herrin, Illinois; his stepchildren, Terry Heater, Jr. (Debbie) of Hartville, Joe Heater (Mendie) of Dix, Illinois and Brian Heater (David); his grandchildren, Colman Dunbar, Gage James, Katie Lee Vazquez and Richard Norman; his great grandchildren, Colton Norman, Barrett Norman, Evelyn Vazquez, Owen Vazquez, Jaryn Dunbar and Marlee Dunbar; his great great grandchild Sophia Rose Sanchez; and his sister Dorcas Miller of Marion, Illinois.. He is also survived by four step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren.
