Steven Ray Raney Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven Ray Raney of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on January 5, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Arthur "Babe" Raney; his brothers, James Michael "Jimbo" Raney, Ricky Lee "Rick" Raney and David Raney; and his brother-in-law Tom Deaton.

He is survived by: his wife Paula Raney (Ewald) of Mount Vernon; his children, Jennifer Echols (Robbie) of Mount Vernon and Mike Raney (Delilah) of Mount Vernon; his stepchildren, Dawn Coomes-Abbott (Melissa) of Stevensville and Greg Coomes; his grandchildren, Jady Echols, Rylee Echols, Lexi Raney and Gage Raney; his stepgrandchildren, Jasmine Coomes and Jacquline Coomes; and his siblings, Tim Raney (Mary) of Mount Vernon, Rob Raney (Becky) of Jackson, Missouri, Janet Maier (Raney) of Palm Desert and Nancy Deaton (Raney) of Mount Vernon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
