It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Wayne Gray of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Gray and Joyce Gray; his uncle James McElvain; his brother Darrell Gray; his niece Ashley Ann Gray; and his son Stephen Lester Gray.
He is survived by: his aunt Kay McElvain of Santa Clarita, CA; his brothers, Scot Gray (Cathy Gray) of Overland, KS and David Gray of Mt. Vernon, IL; his children, Kimberley Boyer of Blacksburg, VA, Amanda Boyer-Zutshi of Brookline, MA and D. Michael Boyer (Nima Boyer) of Corvallis, OR; his grandchildren, Samuel Loeschen, J. Timothy Loeschen, Elizabeth Loeschen, Miles Loeschen and Grace Boyer; and his cousins, Stacy Robin and Justin Kerrick.
