With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sherry Nova Gibson of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in New Madrid, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 13, 2024 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Theodore and Juanita I. Berbling (Boyd); her husband Donald A. Gibson, Sr.; her son Donald A. Gibson, Jr.; her great grandchild Jeremy Gibson; her siblings, Theodore Berbling, Jr., Nelson Berbling and Charlene Halstead; and her brother-in-law Charles Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, William R. "Bill" Gibson (LeAnna) of Mount Vernon, Deena Johnson (Michael) of Memphis and Stephen M. Gibson (Barb) of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Mike Gibson (Michelle) of Robinson, Danny Gibson (Mandy) of Mount Vernon, Josh Cuppy of Memphis, Tana Lenier (Jordan) of Memphis, Jenny Roberson (Rodney) of Mount Vernon, Emily Davis (Joe) of Mount Vernon and Clay Gibson (Chelsie) of Mount Vernon; her siblings, Marcena Barbling of Anna and Bernadine Roberts of Olive Branch, Illinois; and her brother-in-law Pete Halstead of Litton, Indiana.. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
