We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2023, at the age of 75, Sarah C. Gessner of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Ottawa, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Claus and Barbara Claus (Whitaker). She is survived by: her husband Todd Gessner of Kankakee, Illinois.; her children, Brant Gessner (Jamie) of Hoschton, GA and Heather Owens (Jason) of Mt. Vernon, IL; her grandchildren, Hannah Owens, Evan Owens, Ella Gessner, Anna Gessner, Jackson Gessner and Sam Gessner; her brother Jeff Claus (Judy Hyman) of Ithaca, NY; and her nieces and nephews, Daniel and Val Jr. of Mexico.
Memorials may be made to the North Lakeland Discovery Center in Manitowish Waters, WI or to BMDMI (Baptist Medical & Dental Misions International) for a missionary scholarship.
