We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2020, at the age of 95, Ruth Whaley in Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Farmersville, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Whaley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Orville Odis Whaley; her son Robert Whelan; her parents, William Vel Smith and Ruthalee Hobbs; and her siblings, Anna Lou Henry, Hubert Smith and Alvin Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Odis Whaley (Judy) and Randy William Whaley (Sharon); her grandchildren, Daniel, Victoria, Ethan Whaley and Megan Feezor; and her stepgrandchildren, Barney, Jim Bates and Cyndi Horton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and step-great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked memorial donations be made out to the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Vernon, IL, located at 1133 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IL, 62864.
