He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Fulkerson and Elsie Fulkerson (O'Neal); his siblings, Jane Sneed, Grace Fulkerson, Reba Aud, Si Fulkerson, Dallas Fulkerson, Dayton "Bill" Fulkerson, Woollard Fulkerson, Lynn Fulkerson and Leland "Doc" Fulkerson; and his siblings-in-law, Don Niekamp and Maxine Mitchell (Jim).
He is survived by: his wife Shirley L. Niekamp; his sons, Steve Fulkerson (Angela) of Bonnie, IL and Tommy Fulkerson (Jeannie) of Mt. Vernon, IL; his grandchildren, Jason Fulkerson (Janna), Justin Fulkerson (Tracy), Kegan Fulkerson and Brock Fulkerson (Alison); his great grandchildren, Avery, Logan, Lily and Burke Fulkerson; and his sister-in-law Marion Niekamp. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Russel's memory to the Carmi Church of the Nazarene and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
