He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Rudolph and Mary Frances Hamilton (Lyons); his son Gary R. Hamilton; and his brother Robert Hamilton. He is survived by: his wife Helen N. Hamilton (Osborn); his son Ronald L. Hamilton (Karen L.) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his grandchildren, Daniel L. Hamilton (Laura) of Springfield, Illinois and Laura C. Tanguturi (Harsha) of Atlanta, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Kusher of Atlanta, Wrenna Tanguturi of Atlanta and Bingham Hamilton of Springfield, Illinois; and his sisters-in-law, Edna Bickley of Scandinavia and Janet Sallee of Mount Vernon, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
