He was predeceased by: his parents, W. A. "Dick" and Joyce Smith (Holloway); and his brother Christopher. He is survived by: his spouse Carolann Smith (Bruzan); his children, Adrienne B Smith, Christopher R Smith and Matthew R. Smith; his brother Richard "Dicky" Smith (Kathy) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and his brothers-in-law, Albert Bruzan, Raymond and Florian Bruzan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
