He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Hicks and Laura Hicks (Lutes); his wife Judith Lea Howard; his brother Charles "Chuck" Hicks; and his in-laws, Gene and Margaret Howard.
He is survived by: his daughter Dixie Lea Bradley (Jeffrey) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his grandchildren, Tyler Wayne Bradley (Courtney) of Shelbyville, Kentucky and Carissa Lynn Stagner (Kurt) of Sesser, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Morgan Stagner (Christian), Kensington Stagner, Kassandra Bradley and Jeremiah Bradley; his sister Peg O'Daniell (Ron) of Saint Charles, Missouri; his siblings-in-law, Dee Hicks of Texico, Janice Howard of Herrin, Illinois and Rocky Howard (Susan) of Herrin, Illinois; his nephew Brent O'Daniell (Stacie); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lauren Sanchez (Tyler), Brendan (Emily), Brett O'Daniell (Megan), Michael Hicks, Jeffrey Roach (Mikki) and Rex Roach; his niece Jillian Jaimet (Nathan); his niece Hilliary Howard; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alexia and Katrina; and also, Marley, Hazel, Owen, Brendan, Haley, Christian and Reese. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
