He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Blackburn and Katherine Blackburn (Mosley); his wife Patsy Blackburn (Bebout); his children, Jimmy, Timmy and Connie; and his siblings, Thomas, Curtis, Emmitt Blackburn, Velma Stratton and Ann Fleming.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Blackburn (Cheri), Robert E Blackburn, Kathy Franks (Don), Bonnie Blackburn, Sandy Blackburn, Wanda Turner (Calvin), Carolyn Schenk (John), Lisa Hargett (Darryl) and Rhonda May. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 9 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the First Baptist Church.
