Robert Bauer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Bauer of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on June 26, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, P. James Bauer and Opal Bauer (Roper); his granddaughter Peyton Bauer; his brother James Bauer; and his sister-in-law Linda Bauer.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Bauer (Halliburton); his children, Chris Hayes (James) of Mount Vernon, Diana Bauer (Ray Bruce) of Mount Vernon, Gene Bauer (Page) of Texico, Bobbie Jo Bauer of Saint Louis, Les Bauer (Carla) of Woodlawn and Nikki Prost (Brian) of Mount Vernon; his grandchildren, Darrell Hayes (Mary), Darrin Hayes (Shane Cohn), Josh Bauer, Colton Bauer-Greer (Christina), Dylan Hayes (Sierra), Jacob, DaCota Bauer (Claire), Austin Bauer (Leslie Dent), Camilla Bauer, Jordyn Dial (Oakley), Gabriella Bauer, Carson Prost, Rianna Bauer, Sabrina Bauer, Callie Prost, Alex Bauer, Trinten Bauer, Eli Prost, Aspen Bauer, Brenden Bauer, Sophie Bauer, Alex Prost and Jayden Bauer; his great grandchildren, Rylie Bauer, Claire Hayes, Caid Greer, Brantley Hayes, Hudson Hayes, Maggie Bauer, Ezra Hayes and Cameron Greer; his brother Orland Bauer; and his siblings-in-law, Jo Vance (Norm), Penny Burton, Rodger Halliburton (Cathy) and Michael McClanahan (Marsha). He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
