Phyllis Y. Peterson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Y. Peterson (Mount Vernon, Illinois), who passed away on June 6, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father John Neal; her spouse Bobbie Joe Peterson; and her brothers, Jimmy Gordan Neal and Johnny Bob Neal. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Bethard (Larry) of Mount Vernon, Becky Hunter (Keith) of Saint Louis, Missouri and Mike Peterson (Suzanne) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Rene Green (Tim), Clay Bethard (Elizabeth), Danny Peterson, Michelle Chesnek (Brett), Brent Peterson, Lindsey Duncan, Sarah Tomer, Josh Tomer (Sarah), Carly McCartney, Keith Hunter (Elissa) and Brandon McCarth. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Phyllis's honor to the after school program at Boyd Christian Church.
