She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Alson and Velma "Imogene" Lorene Grant (Roeder); her siblings, Phyllis Flanagan and Robert Allen Grant; and her brother-in-law Gary Flanagan.
She is survived by: her brother Russell Wayne Grant (Marsha) of Mount Vernon; her nephew Rob Flanagan (Kristy) of Olney, Illinois; her nieces, Jodi Cooper (Ian) of Mount Vernon, Meredith Delano of Corpus Christi and Natalie Grant of Austin, Texas; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Lukas Cooper (Hannah), Braden Flanagan, Beau Cooper, Kyle Cooper, Hailey Flanagan, Kaitlyn Flanagan and Maybelline Delano. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorials may be made in Joan's honor to Old Union Missionary Baptist Church.
