He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Doherty and Mary Doherty (Wurth). He is survived by: his wife Carole Ann Doherty (Jarvis); his children, Patrick Doherty, Heather Toler (Rod) and Erin Burch (Derek); his grandchildren, Brenna Toler, Austin McDurmon, Shiann Doherty, Jade Devine and Grant Doherty; his siblings, George Doherty (Jan), Mary Causey, Rose Eubank and Rita Schepmoes (Jim); and his adoptive son Chris Sullivan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
In Lieu of flowers memorials can be left for the American Cancer Society or The Wounded Warrior Project.
