She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanor Modert (Davis) and Dr. A. W. Modert; her husband Kenneth Warner Meyers; her siblings, Dr. Jean Modert (Rita), Dr. Alson Modert (Jo) and Rosemary Modert Holloway (Lowell); and her stepmother Anna Mae Blessin.
She is survived by: her son Jeff Meyers (LaDonna) of Mount Vernon; and her grandchildren, Meg Lumpkins (Rich) of Bluford, Becky Newlin (Jeff) of West York and Greg Payne of Bluford, Illinois. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Maxine's honor to Central Christian Church or East Hickory Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
