It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Helen Shaw of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Fairfield, Illinois, who passed away on July 14, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Tucker and Gula Tucker (Reames); her husband Bill Shaw; her children, Reverend Bill Shaw and Rebecca Shaw; her granddaughter Angie Brown; and her siblings, Henrietta, Eleanor, Merle and Aaron.
She is survived by: her children, Reverend John Shaw (Marilyn) and Karen Hails (Doug) of Centralia, Illinois; her daughter-in-law Norma Shaw of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her grandchildren, Johnny Shaw, Scott Shaw, Joe Shaw, Tony Shaw, Josh Shaw, Rachel Shaw, Hannah Shaw, Matthew Hails (Norma) and Sara Pendley (Brian); her great grandchildren, Dana Brown, J. C. Brown, Amiya, Jackson Shaw, Tanner Shaw, Tori Shaw and Amelia Pendley; her sister Shirley Caldwell of Sims, Illinois; and also Steve Shaw (Kim) of Peoria, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Mary's honor to the Seventh Day Adventist Church or flowers will be lovingly appreciated.
