She was predeceased by: her parents, James William and Stella A. McCord (Keen); her husband Rev. Clifford Burney; her grandson Dallas Burney; and her brothers, Ralph McCord and Paul McCord.
She is survived by: her sons, Derrell Burney (Anita) of Dix and Bradley Burney of Mt. Vernon; her granddaughters, Nena Rightnowar of Bluford, Candice Richardson (David) of Mt. Vernon and Monica Otoide (Nicholas) of Champaign; her great grandchildren, Walker Rightnowar of Bluford and Malcolm Richardson of Mt. Vernon; her brothers, Murvin McCord (Virginia) of Wayne City and Billie McCord (Barbara) of Tennessee; and her sisters-in-law, Betty McCord and Lois McCord.
