It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marjorie Rhea Davis of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on August 19, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Simpson and Mauvoleane Simpson (Nichols); her former husband Robert D. McGuire; her husband Paul Davis; her sons, John Robert McGuire and James Gregory McGuire; her grandson Bobby McGuire; her siblings, Evelyn Scrivner and Samuel Nelson Simpson; and her pets, Heidi Sue and Petey.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Spears of Centralia and Robert Wade McGuire of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Michelle Johnston (Johnny) of Centralia, Ryan McGuire (Vanessa) of Mt. Vernon, Christopher McGuire of Sesser, Angela Bodine of Mt. Vernon, Heather Bodine of Mt. Vernon, Brandon McGuire of Mt. Vernon and Bethany McGuire of Mt. Vernon; her great grandchildren, Abigale, Emily, Jordan, Aidan, Emma, Phoenix, Lexie, Camden, Ainsley, Kassidy, Tyler, Dakota, Donavan, Abel, Jayce and Jozie; her great great grandchild Charli Mae Reynolds of Salem; and her nephew Jeff Scrivner of Marion.
Memorials may be made in Marjorie's honor to the Centralia Humane Society (House of Hope) in Centralia.
