We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2020, at the age of 93, Loran Bumpus of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Bonnie, Illinois passed away. He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Ivan and Victoria Elizabeth Bumpus (Hopper); his former wife Geraldine Presley (Jerrye); his wife Betty Louise Bumpus (Welch); and his siblings, Dollie Edith, Maxine Ambrey and Samuel Eugene Bumpus.
He is survived by: his close friend Wanda Williamson; his children, Gene Bumpus (Lori) of Bonnie and Cindy Sheets (Mark) of Mt. Vernon; his granddaughter Jennifer Shively (Ben Eric Sheets); and his sister Mildred Hicks. He is also survived by 14 Great-Grandchildren.
We ask everyone attending the services to practice social distancing. We are limited to 50 people in our building at a time, and everyone attending is encouraged to wear a mask.
