She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Mellott of Mount Vernon and Audrey Mellott (Kehrer) of Mount Vernon; and her father-in-law Charles Greathouse. She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Greathouse; her children, Blaze Greathouse of Mount Vernon and Lucy Greathouse of Mount Vernon; her stepson Chris Greathouse (Cassie) of Terre Haute, Indiana; her stepgranddaughters, Ainsley Adams, Mackenzie Greathouse and Olivia Greathouse; her siblings, Marty Mellott of Mount Vernon, Rodney Mellott (Heather) of Mount Vernon, Katrina Bauer (Kip) of Mount Vernon and Alicia McClellion (Justun) of South Carolina; her mother-in-law Dolores Greathouse of Mount Vernon; and her sisters-in-law, Susan Dodson (Barry) of Colorado and Patti Swan (Dean) of Mount Vernon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Lora's memory to WWJD Church in Mount Vernon for Good Shepherd Ministries, an orphanage in India.
