Leroy Piercy Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leroy Piercy of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on October 4, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Piercy and Ora Piercy (Elliston); his wife Doris Hawkins; his daughter Lisa Hertenstein; his granddaughter Ashlee Bailey; his daughter-in-law Kathy Piercy; his siblings, Louise Bruce, Vernor Piercy, Clarence Piercy, Katherine Toney, Elsie Parker, Bob Piercy and Bill Piercy; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Piercy, Marilyn Piercy, Dorothy Piercy, Everett Bruce, Gilbert Hoeinghaus and Bob Parker.

He is survived by: his children, Victoria Hurst (Paul) of Henderson, Judy Cralley (Wayne) of Mount Vernon, Marcie Jones (Joe) of Carbondale, Illinois, Stephen Piercy (Candace) of Iuka and David Piercy of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his grandchildren, Joshua Fields (Taryn) of Orlando, Aaron Piercy of Palm Springs, Gabriel Cralley of Chicago, Michael Piercy (Jonna) of Mount Vernon, Kevin Cox (Jennifer) of Goreville, David Piercy (Rachel) of Mount Vernon, Emily Piercy of Mount Vernon, Lyle Hertenstein of Mount Vernon, Westerly Loyd (Quentin) of Murphysboro, Carlie Jones of Carbondale and Amelia Jones of Carbondale, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Jackson Fields, Hannah Piercy (Liam Gascoin), Ross Piercy, Drew Piercy, Molly Piercy, Taylor Summers, Rosalind Piercy, David Reid Piercy, Thomas Piercy, George Piercy, Jay Hertenstein and Lena Loyd; and his sisters-in-law, Doris Jean Piercy of Tuscola and Priscilla Piercy of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
