He was predeceased by: his father Frank Steward; his son David Steward; his grandson Leonard Steward, III; and his sister Linda Tate. He is survived by: his children, Diann May (Bill), Cheryl Millenbine (Donnie), Leonard "Lennie" Steward Jr. (Teresa), Joyce Steward, Dana Ritchey (Don) and Cathy Carlile (Steve); and his sisters, Anna Mae Southerd and Fern Hogue. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
