She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent Everitt Burkitt; her husband Glenn Avern Pierce; her children, JoAnn Cameron of Normal, Gary, Mark Pierce (Jackie) of Bluford and Dr. Shelly Pierce of Carbondale, Illinois; her grandson Darren Cameron of Garland, TX; her children, Brian Cameron (Amy) of Leland, IL, Dr. Kevin Pierce (Chris) of Springfield, MO, Dr. Jason Pierce (Ginger) of Alton, IL, Bethany Johnson (Bryan Camden) of Christopher, IL, Nicholas (Ami) and Jana Pierce of Bluford, IL; her siblings, Ruth Witzel (Lyle) of Mt. Vernon, Veralee Wilcox (Guy), Nadene Grunder, John, Dale, Lowell "Pete" (Betty) and Baby Burkitt; and her grandson Ryan Shane. She was also cherished by many great-grandchildren.
