She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Allen and Lee Opal Allen (Thomason); her former husband Homer Ray Arnold; her husband Norman Junkins; her siblings, Norma Garrison, Elaine Allen, Marvin Allen and Kenneth Allen; and her grandson John Michael Ford.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Standley (Leonard) of Centennial and Duane Arnold (Panita) of Charleston; her granddaughters, Amy Lubinskas, Ellen AuClair, Morgan Rivera and Desiree Vaughan; and her nephew Dwight Allen. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in LaVerne's honor to Logan Street Baptist Church.
