With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry A. Ellis Sr. of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on August 16, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Everett Leslie; his wife Sylvia Maxine Ellis (Reese); his daughter Debra Yvonne Ellis Schultz; his grandson Larry Allen Ellis III; and his brother Leslie Duane Ellis.
He is survived by: his children, Mickey (Christine) of Orlando, Glen Odell of Mount Vernon, Larry, Jr. (Janet) of Mount Vernon, Pamela (James) of Creal Springs and Angela (Ron) of Centralia; his grandchildren, Jamie, Christopher, Thomas, Sylvia, Debbie, Crystal, Toni, Nikki, Courtney, Cody and Logan; his siblings, Roger (Jan) of Stonefort and Norma Jean (Jimmy) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and his cousins, Chihuahuas, Peanut, Pepper, Brodie and Sylvia. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Larry's honor to Shriners Hospital for Children.
