She was predeceased by: her parents, John Francis and Maxine Shores (Hayes); her husband Ronnie Trout; and her brother John Russell Shores. She is survived by: her son Kevin Lisenby (Sally) of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Jamie Hardy (Nathan) of Opdyke, Ashleigh Brown (Nathan) of Flora, Danielle Abbott (Garrett) of Centralia, Jaylee Lisenby and Luna; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Gavin, Emma, Kaden, Xander, Hendrix, Hudson, Brooklyn, Lyla and Ava; and her siblings, David Shores (Pat) and Carolyn Summers (Richard). She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Kay's honor to the Mount Vernon Rescue Mission or Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
